I must go check it out nowBritthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15416607384618164630noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358112667918245982.post-40738949202579987062013-01-17T05:57:19.091-05:002013-01-17T05:57:19.091-05:00I too enjoy a 'cool' font for a book cover...I too enjoy a 'cool' font for a book cover. The cover for 'The Assassin's Curse' drew me in. The only thing I don't like about it is the pirate ship. It makes sense for the story, I just don't like it haha. I am however a fan of girl-in-a-pretty-dress covers. They have to be in a pretty dress though... Also, bright colours on a black background. OK I will stop now.pattyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16413273102522309871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358112667918245982.post-2219359067162461252013-01-17T05:55:24.706-05:002013-01-17T05:55:24.706-05:00I love book covers - can't help it. And I must admit I am one of those who have fallen for the 'pretty dress' covers... although this was mostly a few years ago when I didn't know any better and have since then generally stayed away from them after having been deceived by books like Fallen which look pretty but turned out to be pretty crap on the inside :/ And I've never bought a book based on a hunk on the cover.. that's one thing thats never been a factor to me when looking at pretty covers. Lately I've been getting a bigger pull towards covers with drawings and artwork on rather than photos of people and places... dunno why.. maybe I just go through phases..

Anyway, great subject!Ali (Winged Reviews)https://www.blogger.com/profile/06406148821861485547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358112667918245982.post-47254608731937664832013-01-16T18:23:07.691-05:002013-01-16T18:23:07.691-05:00I like book covers, but they don't have to hav...I like book covers, but they don't have to have people to appeal to me. Most of the covers for my novels and novellas don't have people on them, and I was beginning to think I'd made a major mistake. Glad they're not a necessity for you either.Judithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10180078337429104142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358112667918245982.post-45390386380675275742013-01-16T16:24:40.650-05:002013-01-16T16:24:40.650-05:00The Assassin's Curse really caught my eye too....The Assassin's Curse really caught my eye too.

I'm an admitted cover whore; I love all types of covers. But the ones that really draw me in are the more artsy covers like Burn Bright, Black City, and The Raven Boys. They're all really unique.
